- Enrollment requirements must be completed by the start of the quarter for which you’re enrolling.
- All majors require a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course and 2.50 GPA in prerequisites. Exception: BioE requires a minimum 2.5 grade in CHEM 162.

† Note for Chemical Engineering (ChemE) students: Up to two (2) application requirements may be in progress at the time of application. Students should also see the department continuation policy for courses such as A MATH 301 or CSE 142, CHEM 237 (or 223, 335), and CHEM 238 (or 224, 335), and PHYS 123 which must be finished by the end of the summer quarter following the spring quarter of admission to the major. ^Note for Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) students: In addition to CHEM 142, MATH 208, MATH 224, and PHYS 123, BIOL 130 and BIOL 220 may also be used as enrollment requirements.
‡ As of autumn 2021, MATH 307, MATH 308, MATH 309, and MATH 324 are renumbered as MATH 207, MATH 208, MATH 209, and MATH 224, respectively. Students can apply either the 200- or 300-level number for each course toward their degree requirements.
